We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Gilesgate. This is an exciting opportunity to support young children in the early stages of their education and play a vital role in their social and academic development.

Applicants must hold a recognised Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above) or a PGCE with EYFS experience.Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS provision.
  • Support children’s learning through play, structured activities, and routines.
  • Observe and record pupil progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Promote a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment for all children.
  • Support with daily classroom tasks, preparation of resources, and setting up learning areas.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
