REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience supporting children in an EYFS or primary school setting
• A calm, caring and enthusiastic approach to early years education
• Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching Support) is desirable

THE ROLE:

This full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant position involves working in either a Nursery or Reception class, supporting the class teacher with daily learning and routines. You will play a key role in helping children settle into school life, build early communication and social skills, and engage in play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Support children’s learning through structured play and guided tasks
• Promote personal, social and emotional development in the classroom
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Contribute to pupil observations and progress tracking
