BGS is seeking a F-15C Simulator Technician I to support the F‐15C Weapons and Tactics Trainers at the Tyndall AFB, Florida.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Sec+ certification within 18 months from start date
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to climb ladders at heights up to 6 feet and stairs on a regular basis
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds on a frequent basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in related work experience
  • F-15 (or comparable fighter-type) flight line avionics background
  • Experience in electronics, computer information systems, visual display systems, and/or simulation systems
Responsibilities
  • Assists with operations, repairs, tests, installs, configures, and upgrades
  • Assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware, and software
  • Performs general inspections for pre‐operations, post‐operations, and component handling of training devices, assemblies, and components
  • Inspects components and/or Line‐Replaceable Units to verify status prior to installation
  • Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment
  • Troubleshoots to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  • Assists instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions
  • Performs logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices
  • Occasional travel required for urgent simulator maintenance activities and/or training opportunities
  • Works under partial supervision
