Job Details Job Location: Purgatory Resort - DURANGO, CO 81301 Position Type: Seasonal Salary Range: $15.16 - $15.16 Hourly Job Shift: Day F&B Bar Back/ Busser General Purpose: We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Barback/Busser. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our bartenders and serving staff by assisting with bar setup, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have a fantastic bar and dining experience. The ideal candidates will be energetic, organized, and have a positive attitude. As a barback/busser, you'll thrive in an active environment where you'll be constantly moving and engaging with guests to ensure their needs are met while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas. This is a seasonal position from 12/26/25 to 4/5/26. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of snow and needs of the business. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Assist bartenders with stocking and replenishing bar supplies, including ice, beer, wine, liquor, glassware, garnishes, and beverages. Set up and maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning equipment, sweeping and emptying trash as needed. Prepare garnishes and ingredients for cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes. Assist with the setup and breakdown of guest seating areas. Clear and clean tables in a timely manner, removing used glassware, dishes, and trash. Monitor guest activity in the dining area and promptly address any spills or messes to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. Collaborate with serving staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction. Assist with other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the bar and dining spaces. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Previous experience as a barback, busser, or in a similar role preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Energetic and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 100 pounds. Education and Experience: Must have a Colorado TIPS certificate or be willing to get one within 14 days of hire Working Environment/Physical Activities: Vibrant outdoor setting with exposure to weather elements such as sun, wind, and occasional rain. Fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere with frequent guest interactions. Collaborative team environment requiring communication and coordination with bartenders, serving staff, and other team members. Potential exposure to loud noise levels from music and conversations. Adherence to safety protocols for outdoor environments, including proper handling of equipment and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Standing and walking for extended periods Lifting and carrying heavy loads, such as bags of ice, cases of beverages, kegs of beer, and furniture for outdoor setup. Bending, stooping, and reaching to clean tables, pick up items from the ground, and perform other tasks. Manual dexterity for handling glassware, dishes, and utensils, as well as preparing garnishes and ingredients. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including snowy and icy conditions. Stamina and physical endurance to maintain energy levels during busy shifts and long hours. Alertness and agility to navigate crowded outdoor spaces safely and efficiently.
