Description The Edgewater Hotel is seeking a Gift Shop/Barista Attendant to join our team! DESCRIPTION: Work in our eco-chic boutique, featuring well-appointed organic cotton apparel, classic toys, jewelry and gifts. Here you will find Seattle and Pacific Northwest inspired souvenirs, locally designed crafts, art in nature, Beatles and rock-n-roll collectibles. We also proudly serve Espresso and Coffee by Zoka. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ringing up sales Barista duties Assisting guests on sales floor Stocking merchandise Receiving and tagging new merchandise Answering guest's general questions about the city and hotel Merchandise products to optimize sales Maintain a daily bank and be accountable for all transactions Maintain a clean and organized shop daily SCHEDULE: Flexible availability needed RATE OF PAY: $23-23 per hour WHAT WE OFFER: COMPETITIVE WAGES AND AWESOME PERKS! Requirements Retail experience is a must Computer and/or POS experience is a must Handle cash and credit cards in a safe and accurate manner Must be proficient in cash handling Espresso experience preferred, but willing to train the right person Ability to work without supervision Professional demeanor Ability to multi-task effectively with quickness (coffee, register, assisting guests on sales floor) and maintain positive attitude in high stress situations Ability to be on feet for whole shift *note: this is not a sit down job* Motivated, ambitious, efficient, and friendly Ability to collaborate and work as a team Customer service driven and willing to go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction Ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the work area at all times Perfectionist and detail oriented Ability to lift, bend, stretch with 20lbs
