Escorting guests to their tables and providing them with menus. Taking reservations and managing the seating plan to ensure efficient operation. Providing recommendations on food and drink selections, along with information about specials and promotions. Ensuring that guests are attended to promptly and addressing any requests or concerns they may have. Coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service. Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assist in setting up and clearing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service. Collaborate with the bar manager and F&B service to ensure that guest preferences and special requests are accommodated. Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide accurate information to guests. Help with administrative tasks such as taking reservations, managing guest lists, and updating restaurant seating arrangements. Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area. Manage wait times and communicate accurate estimates to guests during peak hours. Assist in training new hostesses and support staff as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions and events to provide recommendations to guests. Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about daily specials, events, and any changes in restaurant operations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the reception and dining areas.
