Holiday Inn London West Hotel is a 4* Hotel in North Acton, that has 225 beautiful Executive and Deluxe Rooms, 7 large Meeting Rooms, a Gym, Restaurant and Bar which an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Manager to join our Food & Beverage Department.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the Food and Beverage Department perform successfully to its maximum efficiency in accordance with the agreed standards of operation and are individually profitable in accordance with the budget guidelines at Holiday Inn London West Hotel.
Role and Responsibilities
· Spend time in the various operations around the Food and Beverage Department (during peak periods) ensuring the operation is managed well by the Food and Beverage Supervisors and functions properly to its fullest expectations.
· Ensure that all Food & Beverage Supervisors and Guest Service Assistants (Food and Beverage) are well trained in their roles, are extremely well groomed and uniformed at all the times while on Duty in the Restaurant and Starbucks Bar Section.
· Be fully available to meet with Head of Department Managers to deal with discerning or unsatisfied guests regarding complex issues arising the Food and Beverage Department.
· Through effective coaching and support, assist Head of Sales, Head of Revenue and all Head of Department Managers in being creative, ensuring that the highest level of quality is achieved; in accordance with Holiday Inn London West Hotel and IHG standards.
· Excellent track record of implementing change and new systems and processes throughout the Food and Beverage Department. Promptly briefing and gaining full authorisation from the General Manager and successfully briefing all Food and Beverage Supervisors in implementing changes to process to the Guest Service Assistant (Food and Beverage).
· Full preparation and monitoring of the Food and Beverage Budget by regular liaison with Executive Head Chef, Financial Controller and General Manager.
· To ensure that all Food and Beverage Supervisors complete Holiday Inn London West Induction plan with their new Starter and 4-week job chats are completed with all new employees to evaluate and action outcomes.
· Ensure that staffing levels are in accordance with the agreed Departmental budget.
· To ensure that all up to date records of Staff Rotas and Employee Holidays are authorised on Fourth Hospitality, ensuring that Employee Holiday Forms and authorised and are submitted to you for full Authorisation, ensuring the Human Resources are promptly informed.
· To ensure that the Food and Beverage Departmental Rota is completed on Fourth Hospitality and that all hard copies of completed rotas with all records of worked overtime are submitted to Human Resources for authorisation every Monday by 1:00pm
· Ordering and dealing with suppliers
