Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Slot Attendants in compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Ensures high quality guest services while complying with established policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and internal controls. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates and supervises special projects and machine moves as assigned. Verifies all jackpots and short pays in accordance with current Nooksack Casino gaming regulations. Supervises floor operations during assigned shift. Addresses complaints and resolves problems. Maintains proper documentation in departmental repair logs, shift logs, daily shift reports, and lock and key logs. Troubleshoots and repairs slot machines and related equipment at the component levels, e.g., light drivers, switch relays, monitor controls. Supervises safe and effective operation of shop equipment including hand tools, soldering tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. Understands and uses the department parts ordering, receiving and inventory system. Ensures the security of equipment, records and funds. Trains, develops, and monitors subordinate personnel to ensure departmental effectiveness. Provides exceptional customer service to customers and employees when performing job duties and conducts oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Nooksack Northwood Casino’s high standards of excellence. Follows policies and procedures as they relate to Slot department operations. Provides input on how policies and procedures may be streamlined to enhance performance and to improve safety and security. Uses appropriate demeanor when dealing with guests and employees. Shares information with other departments to facilitate their handling of customer situations. Acts upon customer service requests. Ensures compliance with tribal, state, federal, and NIGC regulations and laws. Ensures the control and protection of company assets. Because of the Casino’s commitment to our guests and customer service, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities. QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION Training and experience as a Slot Technician with satisfactory or better performance evaluations. Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Class III gaming licenses from the Nooksack Gaming Commission and the Washington State Gambling Commission. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Liquor Control Board Class 12 Mixologist Permit and TIPS for Gaming certification. Must be at least 21 years of age. PREFERRED Previous Indian Gaming experience. Associate’s degree (A.S.) or certificate in a technical discipline and one year’s related experience. Experience with desktop publishing and graphics software.
