Description
Combining basic stores functions with material handling functions, receiving inspection, product identification, subcontract maintenance buyer function, move material and paperwork through all manufacturing departments from receiving/receiving inspection to shipping. Operate company vehicles, part-time, to assure the incoming and outgoing of materials as directed. Document Management: Maintaining accurate and detail records of repairs and overhauls (reports, logs, inspection records, parts used and associated documents). Data Entry: Inputting repair details into the repair station management system, ensure data integrity and timely updates. Parts Inventory: Track parts used in repairs, manage stock levels, monitor storage area to insure the maximum effective utilization, and upkeep area in a neat and orderly manner in accordance with FAA repair station regulations and Quality system. Receive and induct material physically and in the system (Repair & Overhaul), inspect state of parts, verify paperwork, and note condition or customer request on repair report, assess shortages after evaluation is completed and follow up with support functions to expedite material. Issuance and delivery of materials and supplies to applicable departments according to proper requisition documents. Maintain all applicable stock records in accordance with established control systems as to receipt, issuance, returns, shortages, etc. Customer Communication: Interact with all FAA Repair technicians / operators regarding repair status / approvals and estimated completion times. Quality Control Support: Assist in quality control processes by reviewing repair documentation and identifying potential discrepancies. Assist in periodic inventories, operate terminal for data entry and/or research and operate forklift for heavy materials. Effectively manage subcontract maintenance functions, track, expedite and update current MRP systems. Work with Production to help expedite material through receiving and manufacturing areas to help maintain/exceed TAT expectations. Identification of all Repair/overhauled components in accordance with departmental requirements and applicable specifications. Verify quantities, type, size, and part numbers etc. against pertinent bills of lading, packing slips and receiving reports in accordance with departmental procedures. Continuous improvement efforts required. Regular attendance required. The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates. Perform other related duties as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of one year of relatable experience Reside within 50 miles of the Irvine site Prior repair station 145 knowledge is a plus. POSITION CRITERIA Requires the ability to read, write and interpret shipping, receiving, and other types of documents, the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technicians, customers and management. Ability to operate forklift, Able to read and understand blueprints, repair station CMM's, MS Excel and Word proficient, and MRP experience.
