Description
The Repairs Technician is responsible for maintenance functions of Repair Station and Customer Returns department. This position will train to become a FAA certified repairman. Position requires compliance with customer specifications, manufacturer specifications, and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's). This position will inspect to proper technical techniques on articles of which they are certified. Knowledgeable of FAA Repair Station regulatory requirements, including product evaluation, repair and release protocols as per the Glenolden Repair Station Manual. Records failure analysis results in various software programs. Performing initial evaluation of field returns noting physical, electrical and mechanical compliance to product standards. Performing acceptance test procedures using latest revision supplement sheets, calibration data sheets, procedures and routings to ensure compliance. Ordering and monitoring materials or parts to successfully perform the required article maintenance. Ensuring that Measuring and Test Equipment are used when applicable and are properly maintained and calibrated before use. Completing the necessary maintenance entries for the maintenance, which he/she performed or is responsible for. Thorough familiarity with, and having the appropriate training to use, all state of the art, electrical and mechanical test equipment used in their area of responsibility. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering as required, to successfully analyze and repair manufactured product. Demonstrates strong competencies with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility. Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used to perform inspections are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed. GED/HS Diploma 6 months of assembly, mechanical or electrical experience US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee Must live within a 50 mile recruiting radius of this location Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints. Ability to interact with co-workers and customer/supplier representatives. General knowledge of computers and ability to use various software systems.
