Description DEPARTMENT: Fabrication SUPERISED BY: Plant Superintendent/Production Coordinator FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Purpose: Must have technical training or on the job experience to perform any job on the Saw, Press/Shear/Break, Drill, Cylinder Maker, or breaking out parts on a Laser Cut Sheet on an as needed basis as deemed by a Supervisor or Production Coordinator. Essential Job Duties: 1. Produces component parts by drilling hole, tapping holes or reaming holes as required per the drawings using (a) powered drill press(es) 2. Fabricates metal component parts (primarily cut to length) by operating the NC powered band saw 3. Fabricates metal component parts by operating all metal fabrication equipment. Will serve as an assistant when two man operations are required on one machine 4. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs work in a timely manner and to the best of his/her ability 5. Maintains a safe and clean working environment for themselves and others by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment Requirements High School Diploma or GED Ability to read and interpret basic measurements Lifting, twisting, reaching, carrying and bending The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Ability to safely stand for 95% of the working shift SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
