We're growing and seeking an experienced individual to join our Service Team at our service and sales branch in Fairhope, AL. We are seeking a self-starter, who is willing to learn and develop a career, while helping us serve our customers along the Gulf Coast. Our technicians work on the repair of aerial lifts and telescopic ladder systems, high output pumps and flow systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, structural weldments, drivetrain and suspension systems, annual service and inspections, welding and fabrication, and more! This position comes with a $2,000 signing bonus, paid out within the first 90 days. Requirements YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair collision damage on fire trucks. Fabricate and install custom brackets, mounts, and other components as needed. Prepare new fire trucks for delivery, including final fit and finish work. Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metalworking tools safely and efficiently. Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols. Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting work performed. Displays flexibility and a strong willingness to broaden technical knowledge beyond current scope of work. Plans and executes tasks with accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: Passion about the mission of Sunbelt Fire, our core values, and serving those who save and protect lives. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in welding or fabrication preferred. ASE or AWS certifications a plus. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel. Knowledge with fire apparatus systems, including pumps, hoses, valves, electrical systems and hydraulic systems. Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to assist with truck assembly tasks. Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Monday-Friday with opportunity for overtime.
