Description:

Wood is currently recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Engineering student for the 2024 Fall Semester to work in our St. John’s office.
The Fabric Maintenance team is responsible for managing the on-going repair and maintenance of the Hibernia Platform. The team is primarily focused on ensuring the integrity of the Platform and extending the operational life of the facilities and structural assets. The team develops and executes remediation plans on inspection reports, condition assessments, and general wear and tear that occurs throughout the platform.

  • Providing daily support to the Fabric Maintenance team which is comprised of engineers and other technical professionals
  • Assisting with planning and job readiness for offshore execution, this includes material and equipment requirements
  • Working with discipline engineers in developing repair plans and other engineering deliverables
  • Assisting with budget development and cost estimates
  • Assisting with the development and review of schedules / plans
  • Support tracking of project readiness through offshore execution to closeout
  • Coordinating close out activities
  • Currently enrolled in a University Engineering co-op program
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills
  • Excellent technical writing skill
  • Offshore and Oil and Gas knowledge is preferred
  • Team focused attitude with a commitment to quality
  • Innovative problem solving mindset
  • Strong safety orientation
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with multidiscipline personnel in engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors and client representatives on project-related topics
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
