POSITION SUMMARY: The Fabric R&D Intern will provide support to aid in the seasonal material development process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Swatch Handling & Submit Organization Maintain core swatch archive Receive and price new selections Organize headers into their appropriate categories & file Send physical references & color palettes to suppliers Manage solid snip chart of SRS color references Scan selected headers & aid in assigning codes Data Entry & Chart Upkeep Receiving Fabric Detail Sheets & updating charts Checking tracking received from suppliers to ensure accuracy Miscellaneous Tasks Take fabric photos for design and merch visual decks Help steam/organize new garments for fashion week ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Education in textiles, design, product development, or marketing preferred Highly organized and excellent attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, collaborative styles Resourceful self-starter who can work independently Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), familiar in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) POSITION DETAILS: Salary: $17.00/hour Hybrid: 3-5 days in office based on calendar Internship length: 3 months minimum This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions that the employee may be required to perform, and the employee may be required to perform additional functions.
