Description
POSITION PURPOSE: The duties include but are not limited to the following). Selling manufactured products and services including piping prefabrication, equipment skids and non-structural welded steel products, etc., at company approved pricing standards. Develop assigned key accounts and build lasting relationships. Develop new customer relationships to drive revenue goals. Assist in developing and maintaining required certifications and stamps to execute the type of work sold. Have a clear understanding of shop processes to assist in meeting schedules. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC DUTIES Leverage a strong understanding of shop procedures and capabilities to pursue best-fit opportunities. Collaborate closely with shop leadership on prefab forecasting to ensure shop capacity is not overloaded, maintaining customer satisfaction and a focus on prefabrication needs. Consistently meet or exceed annual shop sales goals in alignment with established revenue targets. Work with QAQC to develop proper guidelines for products sold. Work with Shop Coordinator to schedule fabrication and delivery guidelines that maintain the company’s core values. Work with the Team to keep required paperwork in order and deliverables met. Qualify prospects, deliver effective sales presentations, address objections professionally, and actively manage quotes to closure. Plan and manage appointments efficiently to maximize productivity while remaining responsive to customer schedules. Evaluate mechanical piping systems, drawings, equipment, and job conditions to support sales of fabricated products for delivery or pickup. Recommend appropriate prefabricated piping systems, skid packages, and manufactured products, clearly documenting solutions for client understanding. Prepare accurate cost estimates for manufactured products in accordance with company pricing standards. Strengthen existing customer relationships by providing timely, cost‑effective solutions that expand use of company services. Identify and pursue prospects within assigned markets, follow up on leads and referrals promptly, and maintain an active quote backlog to support sales targets. Resolve customer concerns efficiently to maintain long‑term, positive working relationships. Mentor and develop future manufactured sales personnel to support sustained growth KNOWLEDGE: Competent understanding of mechanical piping systems, welding, fabrication techniques and fabrication equipment. Understanding of prospect's organization and decision-making process. Anticipate and answer objections. Commit the prospect to a decision-making timetable. RELATIONS: Build and maintain a positive working relationship with manufacturing shop, field, office, and management personnel to resolve problems; exploit opportunities and maximize profits. Build Quality working relationships with customers, vendors, and other outside agents. Effectively represent the company's interest to outside agents to maximize profits. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, pipe fitting and welding experience a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS General business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Can effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS Ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & Word. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
