Description
The Robotic Weld Cell Operator will operate a Cobot weld cell. They ensure product quality through proper machine operation, inspections, and measurements, identify process improvements, and follow daily maintenance protocols. Operate collaborative welding robots (cobots) to perform high-quality welds on various workpieces. Set up, start, change over, and shut down cobot welding operations. Fabricate parts from steel, aluminum, and cast metals according to blueprints and specifications. Perform metal joining and cutting operations using cobots, ensuring precise execution of each programmed action. Inspect final products to ensure quality welds and measure finished parts using tape measures and calipers. Identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis for quality or production issues. Follow TPM/5S protocols for machine maintenance as part of a daily checklist. High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Experience as a machine operator or a graduate of a machine certificate program. Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including standard punch and bend tooling and processes. Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, or operating instructions. Experience with measuring devices (tape measure and calipers). Experience with ERP systems including DMM and AS-400.
