Description
Ensure material availability at point of use to designated zone of product line. Kit all parts per the Bill of Material for a work center and ensure they are available prior to assembly start. Frequently check the accuracy of bills of materials and work towards improving their accuracy. Communicate with the fabrication and supply chain team to ensure part availability and shortages. You will coordinate material to meet scheduled ship dates. Plan and coordinate between areas. You will review and update the status of orders and materials with manufacturing supervisors, material control personnel, and people in work areas, customer service, and KanBan expeditors. Includes regularly scheduled multi-functional production meetings which vary from one a week to daily depending on area(s) of responsibility. You will utilize the computer, including Microsoft, Excel, DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet, to maintain control of floor stock and floor records. Pull BOM Packets and sort through them for drawings and information. Gather Panel Build Steel into kit. Gather Electrical BOM components and stage with steel kit. Assign and prioritize Panel Build units per schedule. Track parts shortages and fill out shortage sheets. Make Tool crib runs, or new tools requests as needed for all stations. Assist with parts expedites as needed. Drive Fork truck if needed to get parts and move units. Regularly checks emails to stay informed and aligned with priorities. Maintains communications with the lead and supervisor to ensure workflow. Serves as main point of contact for cross department coordination and information. Makes timely, informed decisions to support team efficiency and problem solving. Monitors work to ensure quality standard are met. Effectively organizes tasks, materials, and information. Minimum of two years of direct manufacturing experience or equivalent No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred candidate should have a working knowledge of the LVA Panel Build and Wire area and a working knowledge of the manufacturing operations. Associates degree in related field Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. Ability to utilize various hand tools to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment. Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification. Understanding of Bills of Material
