Fabrication/Lightbox Assembly Technician
The Look Company specializes in providing visual engagement solutions for sport, retail and commercial customers globally. We are a high energy, fast paced environment and looking to grow our company by hiring a full-time Fabrication/Lightbox Technician.
Position Overview: Permanent, full-time Monday – Friday
The Fabrication/Lightbox Assembly Technician is responsible for the hands-on assembly of aluminum lightboxes and non-illuminated display structures used to house printed graphics. This role involves interpreting build instructions, working with aluminum extrusions and components, integrating LED lighting where required, and ensuring each unit meets high standards of quality, functionality, and durability. Technicians in this role play a vital part in delivering visually impactful and structurally sound display solutions for our clients.
Key responsibilities include precise cutting, fitting, and assembly of aluminum frames, mounting of printed graphics, and installation of lighting elements. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Hours of Work: Day shift 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fabrication experience with a solid understanding of basic shop equipment, hardware, and electrical concepts.
  • Basic math and electrical knowledge for accurate measurements, calculations, and understanding of electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and samples, organizing and planning work accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail in measuring, marking dimensions, and ensuring high-quality assembly and finishing, particularly for high-end/exposed products.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a team member, following directions and managing quality control.
  • Govern quality of outgoing products, making necessary corrections to meet standards.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including Excel, email, and the ability to learn inventory systems.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret assembly instructions, product drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate fabrication and assembly of steel frames, light boxes, and aluminum components.
  • Verify parts inventory and ensure all components are present and meet required specifications.
  • Assemble and fit components, ensuring proper alignment and secure assembly using hand tools, shop equipment, and CNC machines.
  • Modify dimensions or components as needed to meet design requirements, performing troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
  • Operate CNC equipment (Router, CNC machines) and perform programming, adjusting settings for optimal cutting depth, speed, and feed rates.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and make necessary repairs to equipment to ensure smooth production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety standards and reporting product line errors.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards and report any issues for corrective action.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure timely replenishment of materials as needed.
  • Participate in product development by building prototypes, testing products, and offering feedback on improvements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, meeting production schedules and contributing to company goals.
  • Utilize basic math and measurement skills to ensure precision in assembly and fabrication.
