Full‑Time • Hourly • On‑Site • Day Shift (5:00am–3:30pm Monday to Thursday, Overtime on Friday as needed) Join our team and help shape high‑quality structural metal products used in machinery, concrete construction equipment, and precision‑made metal components. We’re looking for a motivated Fabrication Machine Operator who is passionate about hands‑on work, safety, and craftsmanship. What You’ll Do Core Responsibilities Operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment, such as brakes, rollers, shears, lasers, and saws Grind, sand, hammer, and chip metal parts to achieve required finishes Tag, identify, and correctly stage work-pieces Use precision tools to verify parts meet specifications Collaborate with leads/supervisors to resolve fabrication or part issues Safely operate hoists, lift tables, and (with certification) forklifts Handle machinery and materials with a strong focus on safety and quality Locate and mark cutting or bending lines on materials Set up and operate fabrication machines Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and proper materials Calculate and set machine controls (speed, feed, angles, depth, and other parameters) Start, monitor, and adjust machinery to ensure proper operation Run trial pieces to confirm accuracy of machine setup or programmed instructions Perform additional duties as needed Maintain regular and reliable attendance What You Bring Education & Experience High school diploma, GED, or Metals Fabrication Certificate, 1–3 months of relevant experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience Skills & Abilities Basic reading and verbal communication skills Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction) Ability to measure accurately using tape measures and precision tools (feet, inches, thousandths) Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions Problem‑solving skills in standardized situations Ability to safely operate: Hand tools & air-powered tools Fabrication equipment (brake, shear, laser, rollers, punch, saws) Hoists Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking for up to 10-hour shifts Manual dexterity and ability to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly Good vision (close, peripheral, depth perception) Work environment includes exposure to chemicals (metalworking fluids, cleaners, brake fluid, etc.) Loud environment—hearing protection required Compensation and Benefits: Pay: $21.00 / hour 9 or 11 paid Holidays (depending on schedule) Generous Paid Time Off - Accrues at a rate of 4 weeks per year to start Paid Volunteer Time Off Paid Parental Leave Excellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employees that starts the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire date including: Medical, Dental, Vision Life and Disability Insurance Flex Spending Accounts Accidental, Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity Insurance Legal Insurance Retirement Planning - 401(k) plan including Discretionary Company Match Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 a year Employee Referral Program Employee Assistance Program Multiquip provides competitive pay and benefits and supports our employees through our values of safety, integrity and respect.
