STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Fabrication Mechanic - Mold Trim & Prep to join the team. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to prepare assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements. Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customer and to company operating procedures. Sets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to prepare assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements. Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications. Uses chemicals, such as, but not limited to; chemlock, acetone, and alcohol for the preparation of parts for the next process. Prepares parts for curing in ovens in preparation for molding operations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
