Description

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to read and interpret client specifications and Paralloy drawings.
  • Ability to follow all applicable Paralloy Work Instructions and Risk Assessments.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Good communication skills: both written and verbal.
  • Flexible, proactive and assertive approach in addition to strong prioritisation skills, whilst able to perform within tight deadlines.
  • A good understanding of quality control & EHS regulations and procedures.
  • Hold an in date CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector qualification or hold a CSWIP 3.0 visual welding inspector qualification with the intent to qualify as a CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Action work / fulfil tasks as directed by the Fabrication Quality Manager.
  • To produce Fabrication Quality Plans to client specification after reviewing client specifications and Paralloy DWGs
  • To produce project specific fabrication inspection test records for the Fabrication Inspection Team prior to commencing fabrication after reviewing client specifications, Paralloy DWGs and Quality Plans.
  • Ensure Fabrication Quality Plans are adhered to and actioned accordingly by all sections within the Fabrication shop.
  • To ensure various product interstage inspections are conducted as per the applicable QP including ensuring all material is released from the applicable business unit (Tube and Static) and bought-out material
  • Liaise with third-party and customer inspectors.
  • To ensure welding procedure and welder audits are conducted.
  • To ensure sample inspections on fabricated Reformer Assemblies, Coil Assemblies, Manifolds and associated fabricated products at final inspection stage and that the final fabricated product conform to the latest drawings, quality plans and specifications.
  • To ensure project specific final fabrication inspection test reports such as DPI Reports, PMI Reports, Hydrostatic Test Reports, Dimensional Reports and any other project specific reports are accurate and complete.
  • To produce accurate Radiographic Location Sheets for radiography and welding data control.
  • To ensure accurate material location sheets are compiled by the Fabrication Inspection teams for completed assemblies.
  • Report final inspection results and any discrepancies / non-conformances to the Fabrication Quality Manager, Fabrication Shop Manager, QA Manager and Process Engineering Manager where applicable.
