Fabrication Technician Benefits: · $28+ per hour (Dependent on Qualifications) · Up to $1,200 quarterly bonus · $3 per hour night shift differential · 401k Company Match Transforms materials into finished products by cutting, bending, shaping and assembling components. · Follow and abide by all plant safety policies and guidelines · Read blueprints, schematics and work orders to understand design requirements, layouts, dimensions and welding requirements. · Measure, cut, bend and shape metal components and assemblies according to technical plans. · Join parts using welding, soldering, riveting or fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and fit · Operate various welding machines (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc) and hand power tools. · Inspect finished products for accuracy, functionality and adherence to specifications. Requirements · Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in troubleshooting in shop activities. · Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and multi-task in both slow-pace & fast-paced environments. · Proficiency in multiple welding techniques. · Self-starter, requiring little supervision once training is complete, and be self-motivated when not given a specific task. · Demonstrate ability and excel at safely operating overhead crane, fork trucks, and other mobile equipment. · Precision-minded and maintain a clean and organized work space · Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, & excel) · Position can be physically demanding requiring ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to work in various positions (flat, vertical and overhead) and reach overhead frequently Because Golden Aluminum thrives on the power of diversity and is committed to an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive through a sense of belonging, respect, and contribution, we are committed to giving every qualified applicant and employee an equal opportunity.
