Description

Acer Engineering is looking for an enthusiastic fabricator/ welder with a minimum of 5 years time served experience to join our production team. The position is based at our workshop in Widnes, with site work from time to time.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to carry out the following tasks:

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Experience with fabrication of secondary steelwork such as ladders, platforms, staircases etc.
  • MIG welding experience is a must, however, TIG and MMA will be positively considered.
  • Be able to work on their own and with others.
  • Work under pressure and be responsive to change.

Company benefits and career progression

  • Rate of pay from £18.15 per hour.

_ Overtime available and paid as _

  • Saturdays ‘time and a third’, (£24.14).
  • Sundays ‘time and two thirds’, (£30.13).
  • Hours of work: Mon-Thu 07:15am to 16:15pm. Fri 07:15am to 12:15pm.
  • Company Pension Scheme (4%).
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
  • Competent training (IPAF, PASMA etc.) will be provided as required, as well as welder qualifications to Acer Welding Procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £18.15-£30.13 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
