Company Description Our client is a leading international provider of industrial services specializing in engineering, fabrication, construction, and maintenance for major sectors such as oil & gas, energy, mining, and heavy industry. Job Description The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the fabrication yard, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical expertise in metal fabrication, including welding, piping, and plate work, as well as proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all workshop activities (fabrication, welding, piping, assembly). Ensure production targets, quality standards, and project deadlines are met. Supervise and lead teams of welders, pipefitters, and fabricators. Enforce HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture. Optimize resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials). Review technical drawings and ensure correct execution of fabrication work. Monitor productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project teams. Ensure compliance with international standards and client specifications. Requirements: Proven experience in fabrication yard or workshop management. Strong background in boiler-making, piping, and welding. Good knowledge of fabrication processes and international codes/standards. Leadership and team management skills. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Fluent in English (French is a plus). Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Certifications in welding or fabrication inspection (e.g., CSWIP, AWS) Additional Information Duration: 6 months with possible recruitment
