We are currently seeking a Fabricator to join our team. Summary Fabricator will be trained or help on one or more of the following machines or work centers such as cutoff saws, CNC and standard shears and brakes, rollers, presses, forming machines, CNC and standard whitney punching machines, and CNC plasma & punch machines, belt, bench and hand-held grinders that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures by performing the following duties. Operates machines or works in work centers with supervision. At all times safety is a top priority while performing any part of your job. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Frequently going to different work centers to help where needed to assist in a one- or two-man operation. Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece. Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished workpieces. Properly use barcode system to reflect time charged to jobs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
