Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking for an experienced and energetic Pressure Fabricator to join our team in Chilliwack, BC.

Our Pressure Fabricator have a starting wage range of $34 -$38 per hour based on experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment. Day shift- Mon-Friday 6am to 2:30 PM

The position of Fabricator works from patterns and blueprints, using a variety of tools and machines to make metal parts or assemble components.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficient in knowledge and use of fabrication techniques involved in the fabrication and manufacture of custom machinery and projects.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and installation knowledge
- Proficiency in the use of all fabrication hand tools, including drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, levels, etc.
- Read & understand blueprints, shop drawings and manufacture parts to specifications and tolerances
- Knowledge with Simple Layouts
- Good math skills
- Fabrication Red Seal
- 3+ years of fabrication experience

Responsibilities:
- Operation of machinery involved in the fabrication of various types of machinery and structures. This may include operation of plate shears, ironworkers, drilling and tapping operations, plate burning equipment, plasma cutting, and handheld oxygen/acetylene torches.
- Use of templates, temporary material, gauging devices and/or patterns to create materials joins
- Understanding, proficiency, and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging techniques.
- Understanding, proficiency, and safe usage of lift trucks up to 8000#.
- Reading and understanding of fabrication drawings and/or CAD drawings.
- May prepare equipment for painting, assembly of equipment for shipping, testing of equipment, installation of equipment at customer sites and other duties required in daily production activities.
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
