The company serves diverse sectors such as architecture, construction, medical and pharmaceutical, mining, transport, signage, and exhibition and display.Role Description The Plastic Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chatswood, NSW. The Plastic Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling plastic components using various tools, machines, and fabrication techniques, including cutting, routing, bending, bonding, and finishing. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, operating CNC and manual equipment, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. The role involves collaborating with the production team, maintaining equipment, and assisting with custom projects for industrial, architectural, and commercial clients. The Plastic Fabricator may also support packaging, labelling, and dispatch activities to help meet delivery timelines.Qualifications Experience in plastic fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing work, including cutting, routing, bending, bonding, and finishing of thermoplastic materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and job specifications, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Competence in operating hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including safe material handling and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify fabrication issues and suggest practical solutions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a cooperative approach to working in a production environment.
  • Good physical dexterity and ability to perform manual tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
  • Previous experience in plastics, manufacturing, or engineering workshops is highly regarded; trade qualifications or relevant vocational training are an advantage.
