The successful applicant will require the necessary skills to :

• read drawings, measure accurately,
• operate drills, linishers, sanders, polishers, drop saws and presses to prepare materials, aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering to drawing specifications
• joining metal gates, fencing, balustrades, handrails and screens sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• Trade qualification as Metal Fabricator/ Welder or more than 4 years of relevant work experience.
• The role involves both workshop and site work.
