We are currently hiring for a Fabricator in our Ashland, VA location. This position will safely perform manufacturing operations in accordance with job card and engineering drawing requirements to produce quality parts.  Duties / Responsibilities  * Follow all safe working practices. * Operates production machinery and hand tools. * Reads and follows all job card requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings. * Works productively and efficiently. * Maintains the work area in a neat and organized manner. * Reports discrepancies to production management. * Performs routine maintenance as required to keep equipment in good working order. * Complies with Porvair Quality System requirements. * Other relevant duties as assigned by management. Qualifications / Training Required * High school diploma or equivalent * Technical experience preferred (sawing, buffing, etc.) * Prior shear work experience (5+ years preferred) * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills * Strong work ethic and attentive to details * Strong adherence to safety and quality standards * Ability to follow directions and work well in a team * Ability to understand drawings and produce parts accordingly * Ability to use common measuring equipment * Good communication skills * Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or alternative work shifts We offer a comprehensive benefits package with a 401k match, as well as a safe and clean working environment.
