Role: Fabricator II Location: Franklin, PA Job Overview The Fabricator II is a highly skilled worker responsible for precise cutting, shaping, welding and assembling metal components using a variety of fabrication machines, tools and techniques. Other abilities include attention to detail, general understanding of fabrication processes and ability to read and understand blueprints while maintaining safety standards within a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities Excellent ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine metal fabrication requirements. Must be able to GMAW and GTAW weld carbon and the ability to weld on stainless steel and aluminum in all positions. Can adjust all settings, trouble shooting, and maintenance associated with the welding machines. Select appropriate metal materials and equipment based on project specifications. Outstanding ability to cut, shape, and form metal materials using tools such as shears, saws, punches, and drills. Operate manual and automated machinery to assemble and fabricate components. Conduct complex quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards and specifications. Operate press brakes, saw, roll, and other metal fabrication equipment. Above average ability to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. Work the production schedule, order process and inventory transfers required in SAP. Ability to find ways to improve the process flow. Requirements Prior experience of 5 years or more in metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Prior expertise in various welding techniques like GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW welding in all positions. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances and produce jobs right the first time. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with industry standards.
