REQUIREMENTS

Boilermaker/Welder Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade) or Above

3-4 Years minimum work experience n a similar role

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Confined Spaces

Working at Heights

Forklift License

Experience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential.

Forklift license desirable

On the  job training will be provided.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to your workshop/area supervisor you will be required to work autonomously and within a manufacturing team to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components.

- Assemble and install metal pipes and pipe fittings for stainless and carbon steel projects

- Use clamps, brackets, and hangers to secure pipes to structures

- Remove slags and rough spots from workpieces by operating grinders or scrapers to ensure smooth work surface

- Employ your knowledge of metallurgy to determine materials and equipment most suitable for a welding project

- Clean and prepareworkpieces using chemical solutions etc. to remove foreign matter such as grease, rust etc.

What you'll be doing:

- Fabricating and assembling stainless steel equipment to food industry standards.

- Precision TIG welding of stainless steel tube and pipe.

- Hygienic process piping installations and workshop fabrication.

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

- Working with a skilled team to deliver quality projects on time.

What we're looking for:

- Extensive experience in stainless steel fabrication within the food and beverage industry.

- High-level TIG welding skills on stainless steel tube and pipe.

- Strong knowledge of hygienic fabrication standards and sanitary welding.
