Responsibilities:

• Ability to fit, tack and weld sub- plate assemblies, structures, stainless steel sheet, plates, bar, etc. in accordance with welding codes and specifications
• Layout fit, tack and weld structures, vessels, tanks and other parts in accordance with code of construction, customer specifications and requirements.
• Working knowledge of set up and fabrication techniques
• Grind or sand welds to customer expectation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Read and interpret weld details and symbols
• Safely use and operate overhead and jib cranes
• Safely use and operate fork-trucks, pallet jacks

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of general shop and safety practices in a metal fabrication facility.
• Order required consumables, tooling, coolants etc.
• Develop jigs and fixtures when and where applicable.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings, knowledge of materials
• Computer skills

Hours:
Monday through Thursday – 6:30am – 4pm and Friday – 6:30am – 10:30am
The pay is up to $32.00 an hour based on experience
