JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various fabrication techniques and the ability to work with multiple materials. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Fabricator will be responsible for coordinating and performing the fabrication process from setup through quality control inspection.

SKILLS

  • Proficient use of hand tools such as hand grinder and welding equipment, safe and efficient lifting techniques, and the ability to read measuring tape and shop drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges effectively. Precision and accuracy are vital for ensuring the quality of fabricated products.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and flexibility in assisting other departments and supporting company-wide goals.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism when interreacting with clients and fellow employees.
  • Welding trade school certification preferred.
  • 1 year of welding/fabrication experience.

Responsibilities
  • Understands and interprets technical drawings and plans to determine how to construct units.
  • Utilizes shop drawings which are created for each custom unit. Uses shop drawings, measuring tape, shims, and clamps to assemble components into the proper configuration to meet product specifications.
  • Uses various welding techniques to join metal pieces together to create windows and doors.
  • Uses MIG welding equipment and methods to create welds where specified by the shop drawings. Grinding of welds often required.
  • Conducts final product inspection to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety protocols.
