Superior Skilled Trades has a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Senior Welder / Fabricator with an established metal fabricating company. In this role, you will perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum materials. You will read and interpret blueprints, fit complex assemblies, and ensure all welds meet internal and customer quality standards while mentoring junior welders and collaborating with engineering and quality teams. Direct Hire Opportunity: Senior Welder / Fabricator Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Salary: $30-40/hr (based on experience) What You’ll Do Perform MIG/TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings. Build and fit complex assemblies with minimal supervision. Verify weld quality and ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Support junior welders and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to achieve production goals. Qualifications & Skills 5–10 years of welding and fabrication experience required. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding across multiple positions. Strong measuring, layout, and blueprint reading skills. Ability to work with tight tolerances and fabrication best practices. Familiarity with ASME/AWS code work a plus.
