2020 Recruitment are working with a local engineering company who are looking to add Fabricators to be based out of their Kirkcaldy facility.
This will initially be a 12 week contract before being made a permanent member of staff based on performance.
This role will be both workshop and site based.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the Fabricator role you must have the following skills & experience:

• Time Served
• Experience of working with structural steel
• Experience of working in a similar environment
• CSCS card is essential
• Driving licence would be highly advantageous
• Right to work in the UK

THE ROLE

As the Fabricator you will be responsible for the fabrication of various steel products and will be installing these on site for various clients throughout Scotland.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Fabricator your duties will include the following:

• Operate machinery and plant, including hand tools, power tools and forklift truck.
• Read and understand drawings.
• Fabricate and weld to a high standard of quality in a timely manner.
• Follow company weld procedures and achieve relevant welder qualifications.
• Attend sites to assist in installations.
• Ensure agreed Site-Specific RAMS issued to employees are adhered to.
• Ensure all works are checked ongoing and on completion.
• Ensure tidy workshop and in conjunction with Line Manager, keep yard organised and tidy.
