Description

Skilled and detail-orientated Fabricator with welding expertise to join our manufacturing team specialising in custom curved rail stairlifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, precision welding, and working with curved components.
This role is critical to ensuring the safe and accurate production of stairlift rails tailored to individual staircase designs. Experience in the stairlift, elevator or mobility equipment industry desirable Familiarity with CNC bending machines or automated fabrication tools preferred Certificate in welding (eg. AWS or equivalent) desirable

KEY SKILLS

Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques
Ability read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files
Experience with curved or custom rail fabrication is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

Fabricate curved rails for stairlift systems using technical drawings, templates, and CAD models
Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel and aluminium components with high precision
Operate fabrication equipment including pipe benders, rollers, saws and grinders
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and CAD files to ensure accurate dimensions and curvature
Conduct quality checks to ensure weld integrity and rail alignment meet safety and performance standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
