Description

Point Eng Ltd are an established Design, Engineering, Welding, Machining & Manufacturing business. We require a time served fabricator/welder to join our marine team manufacturing watertight marine door, A60 fire door and flood prevention doors.
You will also be involved with general fabrication working alone and part of a team.
Working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals must be able to demonstrate high quality welding using MIG & TIG. Ability to safely operate metal working machines. Attention to quality is key, ability to cope with frequent batch changes and be able to read, interpret and apply detail from engineering drawings is essential. You will be working in a department with other operators as a member of a versatile and flexible team. Attention to Health & Safety, Environment and Quality is a high priority for our customers and the business.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  1. Good numeracy
  2. Good reading/writing/verbal communication
  3. Good ability to follow engineering instructions
  4. Proven experience in a similar environment
  5. Full driving licence (occasional site visit may be required)
  6. Fork truck license – 2.5 tonne counterbalance.
  7. Health and Safety Certificate or H&S Passport (CCNSG or CSCS) preferred
  8. Physical ability and knowledge to carry out safe manual lifting, slinging and securing of stock materials and finished assemblies safely.
  9. Reasonable overtime working will be required at short notice.
