Vision for the role The candidate will come alongside FAC Kids to participate in planning and writing curriculum, preparation for Sunday morning ministry, and organizing events, developing a philosophy of ministry to children while learning the ins and outs of FAC Kids. Responsibilities: Work with the Director of Nursery & Preschool Ministries (DNPM) to plan a scope and sequence for an 11am service preschool curriculum Practice writing lesson plans for different developmental stages Develop activities, crafts, games, etc. to coordinate with lessons Lead 11am service whole group preschool teaching based on curriculum developed Evaluate curriculum effectiveness alongside DNPM Help prepare for various FAC Kids events (Winter Olympics, VBX, etc.) Gain hands-on experience in budgeting, planning a ministry calendar, and other administrative responsibilities Key Deliverables: Upon completion of the internship term, the intern will meet with the Director of Nursery & Preschool Ministries, along with the Pastor to Children & Families, to assess key areas of learning about the Church, ministry, and personal challenges and growth Learn the ins and outs of the behind-the-scenes work of ministry to children Build relationships within the staff Qualifications: A growing relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by spiritual intimacy, exercising gifts, fruit of the spirit, generous stewardship, and a burden for the lost. A passion for serving children and families, alongside the mission and vision of First Alliance Church. Excellent people skills- able to get along well with others, genuine humility and authenticity, serve on a team, and lead teams of people Excellent communication skills and flexibility Possesses administrative skills and the ability to respond promptly to communication during business hours. Have a reputation for strong character traits such as integrity, humility, self-motivation, and commitment. Pass a background check. Other details: The position will begin January 2026, ending May 2026. Sunday is a workday. May attend weekly staff meetings (Tuesdays, 9:30-11am) as school schedule allows Part-time employee of FAC, 8-10 hours per week Reports to Hannah Meredith, Director of Nursery & Preschool Ministries
