CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in façade, rainscreen, or cladding system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, SolidWorks, or Inventor is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and materials performance.
• Experience working with rainscreen and ventilated façade systems preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines under pressure.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Facade Design Engineer, you will be involved in the complete technical lifecycle of the company’s façade systems. From concept through to delivery, you’ll work closely with architects, contractors, and production teams to ensure each system meets design intent, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design detailed façade layouts including fixing systems, interfaces, and support structures.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings and CAD models for project delivery.
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to develop and approve bespoke cladding solutions.
• Translate aesthetic concepts into safe, buildable, and cost-effective technical outputs.
• Coordinate with internal departments (including production and installation) to ensure seamless project handover.
• Support innovation initiatives, including new product development and performance testing.
• Attend design meetings and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee elements of project management from scheduling through to final delivery.
