Job Description We are seeking a Design Manager to join our Façade Engineering team in Adelaide. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving technical excellence, business growth, and client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of new build and remediation projects. You’ll oversee all aspects of façade engineering – from design, documentation and compliance through to project delivery – while leading and mentoring a small team of engineers. Working closely with the Regional Manager, you’ll contribute to regional strategy, strengthen client relationships, and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of Inhabit in Australia. You will also be responsible for: Leading and delivering façade engineering projects from concept through to construction, ensuring high technical standards and compliance Providing technical leadership, mentoring and professional development for your team. Supporting regional strategic planning, financial management, and business growth initiatives. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Actively participating in industry events, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing forums to enhance Inhabit’s profile. Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and project outcomes. Qualifications Qualifications in Civil Engineering / Architecture (or related field), with demonstrated experience in the facades industry. Proven experience as a design / engineering manager within a consultancy environment. Proactive and displays initiative, responding effectively to changing needs. Strong problem solving and conducts thorough analysis before making decisions. Strong organisational skills to manage design administration, compliance and documentation within identified project deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
