Child Safe Canada is searching for a new team member to join our dynamic group of educators. The ideal candidate will have previous classroom; teacher/student teacher, ed assistant, or before/after care etc… Experience with classroom management skills required. Ability to clear a criminal record check and intervention record check, own vehicle, and 2 years of direct experience with kiddos is a must. Teachers, ed assistants, and before after care staff are encouraged to apply.
We currently have openings for weekend, evening or day time facilitators. The position is in locations throughout the city, as well as online, and you can choose shifts by location, days of the week or times of day; what suits your schedule? You can work only a few hours a week to many..

Job Duties:

  • Facilitating safety programs to children and youth.
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment for participants.
  • Completing shift paperwork.
  • Following Child Safe Canada Health and Safety Program.
  • Attention to detail regarding shift promptness and attendance.

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 year working directly with children and youth.
  • Ability to pass a Police and Child Welfare security screen.
  • Ability to provide educational and/or professional references for dealing with children and youth.
  • Positive and nurturing attitude towards children and youth.
  • Low level of absenteeism/lateness in past employment
  • Driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Current Standard First Aid CPR/AED level C (or willingness to obtain)

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.01-$37.01 per hour

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Weekends as needed
