Description

Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Summary of the Position: Facilitator will be responsible for running weekly group sessions emphasizing healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home school and the community. At a minimum, Facilitator will have experience with group intervention for young people coupled with an ability to relate to youth and families reflecting diverse culture and ethnicity. * With the Director, Advocates, and other staff as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the program participants are addressed. * Based on the selected curriculum, develop content and activities for group intervention * Facilitate weekly group classes following the schedule established for the program. * Work with the program team to develop and implement a system of incentives and rewards for program participant. * Administer pre and posttest to program participants and work together with the program team to evaluate results. Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. * Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Experience preferred that is related to selected instructional topics. * Knowledge of community resources, local employment opportunities, and college or training programs in New Jersey. * Experience working with at-risk youth and families * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus. * Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance coverage required * Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Responsibilities
