Responsibilities

The Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and operation of Council’s properties, built assets, and capital works. This position demands a dynamic individual who can implement modern asset and property management principles while coordinating maintenance programs for Councils caravan parks, depots and saleyards.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, managing contractor relationships, and ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services. In addition, this role requires strong leadership skills to mentor staff and facilitate project delivery that aligns with Council’s strategic goals. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Develop project scopes, specifications and budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders for capital works and project delivery.
  • Oversee the daily operations of Council’s store.
  • Source, manage, and evaluate contractors for services such as fire safety, pest control, and security systems.
