EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Hi-lo experience/license is a plus.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of basic welding and fabricating considered a plus.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Facilities and Maintenance Technician II is responsible for working in a dynamic environment to perform a variety of diverse duties such as basic welding and fabricating, trouble shooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facilities equipment according to safety predictive and productive maintenance system. They will also support the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives. The Facilities and Maintenance Tech II should also maintain a high degree of personal integrity, the ability to generate positive energy, and make a difference every day.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, tear-down and reassembly, and predictive and preventive maintenance service. Assist in construction of machines for manufacturing production.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and prints. Schedules and prioritizes work according to urgency and work orders.
  • Identify safety issues with machines; document issues; support in creating an action plan to resolve concern; follow-up to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Monitor electrical and mechanical systems, call appropriate resources for maintenance and support, when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Production Manager to schedule maintenance for machines.
  • Perform all necessary paperwork and computer transactions, maintenance, and update logs as necessary.
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment and provides general maintenance repairs of office and building and repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
  • Monitor machines to ensure all levels are within EPA, OSHA, and other government guidelines; follow-up to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Assist in the control and scheduling of projects.
  • Monitor inventory and order parts as necessary.
  • Comply with OSHA and CAOSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
