  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skillsWe are seeking a reliable and practical Facilities Assistant Administrator to support the department with office moves and IT equipment setup in preparation for the new academic year. The role involves safely shutting down, moving, storing, and reinstalling desktop IT equipment, as well as assisting with hot desk and new staff/student setups.The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time with the dates being ASAP until 17 th October with a pay rate of £14.20 per hour + holiday payKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carefully shut down, disconnect, and move IT equipment (PCs, monitors, keyboards, mice, and peripherals) between desks, offices, and storage rooms.
  • Install and reconnect IT equipment on desks, ensuring that workstations are ready for use.
  • Pack, label, and move items left on desks when required.
  • Support with configuring hot desk areas and shared workspaces.
  • Follow department instructions and schedules to complete moves within designated timeframes.
  • Ensure all equipment is handled with care to avoid damage.
  • Maintain an organised and safe working environment throughout the relocation process.SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • Ability to handle and move IT equipment safely and carefully.
  • Basic knowledge of connecting standard IT equipment (monitors, desktops, keyboards, mice, and peripherals).
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail when packing and labelling items.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible to meet varying scheduling needs.
