Description:

We are currently seeking a Facilities Assistant who will help keep a safe, clean and well-maintained facility. The Facilities Assistant is responsible for performing housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the facility and facility grounds. They will perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as directed by the Facilities Coordinator.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year building management or construction experience
  • Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or ventilation preferred
  • Must be able to pass power industrial certification to operate power industrial equipment
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision
  • Ability to lift/move approximately 65 pounds repeatedly
  • The ability to climb/work at heights at or of above six feet
  • Ability to work in severe weather conditions – both heat and cold
  • Current, Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insuranc

Responsibilities:

Ensure cleaning and sanitation tasks are performed and documented. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assist with the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Follow a regular schedule of all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning requirements.
  • Respond to service portal requests from employees and ensure safety and security protocols are followed within the facility.
  • Performing cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, restrooms, and other facilities.
  • Uses ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings, wash windows, and dusts fixtures.
  • Overseeing waste disposal, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
  • Safely operate industrial lift trucks and other motorized and non-motorized equipment.
  • May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Sweep walks, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks on a need to basis.
  • Picks up debris found on the grounds and dispose of properly.
  • Provide support for company events, meetings, and conferences by setting up rooms, arranging furniture, etc.
  • Pick up and clean up any spills in the interior and the exterior of the building.
  • Assist in picking up any food products that might have fallen and spilled in the warehouse.
  • Wash company passenger vehicles.
  • Communicate completion and/or any issues that arise to supervisor.
  • Ensure all work is done in accordance with process and safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate for special events.
