FACILITIES ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant in MALDON, Essex. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the offices, reception area, warehouse and outside space. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for both employees and clients.
Expected hours of work will 08.00am to 12.00am Monday to Friday 20 hrs per week
Onsite parking available, would suit person local to the area.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently without supervision are essential skills for this role.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques is advantageous.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Clean and sanitise toilets, kitchens, and common areas to ensure high standards of hygiene.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition.
  • General weeding of the beds at the front of the building and ensuring the decking is weed free at all times
  • Periodic jet washing of the deck at the rear of the building and ensure the area is clean and pleasant for the staff to use.
  • Light maintenance duties or repairs, liaise with reception to book tradesman when an issue cant be resolved.
