Description POSITION: Facilities Coordinator PURPOSE: The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the upkeep of the Alliance for Living (AFL) facilities. AFL facilities are considered the building’s exterior, including grounds, and interior as well as Agency vehicles. This position will perform maintenance and driving duties including light cleaning, supply pickup/drop-off, yard work, and repairs as well as coordinating with outside contractors to ensure they have access to the property to complete work when needed. CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt, at-will position. Full-time, benefits eligible. POSITION REPORTS TO: COO SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: (Examples – not an all-inclusive listing) Maintains presence at AFL’s property to respond to issues as they arise. Ensures buildings are locked and armed at the end of each day. Loads and unloads equipment and supply deliveries. Stocks materials within the building (i.e. paper, cleaning products, bathroom supplies, etc.). Coordinates the ordering of replenishments when needed. Coordinates holiday food basket program with the COO. Ensures compliance with all company safety regulations and confidentiality agreement. Other duties as assigned. MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES: Conducts regular inspections of the building, grounds, and office equipment. Reports any issues to their supervisor. Maintains grounds including weeding, mowing, and sweeping. Cleans and organizes shared spaces, including trash disposal and cardboard recycling, in between outside cleaning company weekly visits. Responds to internal repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion. Completes minor building maintenance and repair to AFL building and spaces as needed with the use of equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and lawn tools. Communicates to COO when outside contractor is needed for repairs and maintenance requests requiring additional expertise. Assists with outside contractors performing work at AFL (i.e. cleaning company, office supply delivery drivers, HVAC technicians, etc.). DRIVING ACTIVITIES: Drives to pick up and deliver supplies and donations for AFL, including loading and unloading weekly Gemma E. Moran donations. Ensures AFL vehicles are operating to the highest quality including receiving all proper maintenance. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience. Has reliable driving experience and can maintain a clean driving record. Reliable and able to work independently, effectively, and efficiently under pressure. Ability to multi-task, juggling competing demands with limited supervision. Understanding and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries. Excellent communication for dealing with internal and external contacts. Ability to honor confidentiality requirements during both employment and post-employment periods. Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance. Bi-lingual ability a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent movement throughout the building. Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving boxes weighing up to 50 pounds between floors. Larger and/or heavier items require team lift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling and/or crouching for maintenance of the facilities. Occasional outdoor exposure to maintain grounds. Examples: snow removal and spreading salt on walkways during the winter and weeding in the summer.
