Description
The Facilities Coordinator will perform various responsibilities to ensure the proper maintenance and security of various company sites. This position will also involve planning for future building spaces and supply needs. Performance of the work requires the use of considerable independence, initiative, and discretion within established guidelines. This is a full-time position located in Brea, CA (3040 Saturn St) and the regular (basic) work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm. However, additional hours and business travel will be required, depending on company needs (mostly in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, but also overnight travel in other areas of the country as needed, up to 75% in total). About the Role: Troubleshoot operational, maintenance, and equipment issues, resolving them or escalating to third-party vendors when necessary Coordinate third-party vendors for facility repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely resolution of issues and adherence to safety standards Exercise independent judgment when prioritizing facility needs, selecting vendors, and resolving operational issues Coordinate assigned services and activities with other departments, agencies, and organizations Collaborate with IT team members on projects involving IT infrastructure Coordinate and participate in the response to emergency situations at all West Region company locations Must be available on call 24/7 for after-hour and weekend situations Monitor and manage facility ticket requests for West Region locations and other regions as needed, ensuring completion within established timelines and quality standards Schedule and ensure completion of preventative maintenance Supervise work performed by third-party vendors to ensure timely completion and adherence to established standards and procedures Review and approve invoices for work completed by third-party vendors Participate in planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating routine preventive maintenance, including pharmacy sites and office sites Develop, implement, and maintain a database of all company locations, which includes all its maintenance aspects, the responsible parties (landlord, clinic, or our company) and their contact information; the updated database must be available to all Facilities Department members, Operations, and Senior Management Build strong professional relationships with Clinic Partner facilities and Operations Managers, as well as their designees and vendors that provide maintenance services Work with Operations to coordinate and document facility-related drills Monitor and respond promptly to security alerts from burglar alarms, access systems, and camera systems, addressing performance issues as they arise Respond to emergency situations Willing and able to travel for business - mostly in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, but also in other areas of the country as needed (up to 75% total) When visiting sites, must dress appropriately with Avita branding representing the Avita Facilities Team Perform other related duties as assigned Perform in accordance with company policies and standards Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals About You: High school diploma or GED required 3+ years of related Facilities work experience Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills Bilingual in Spanish preferred Willing and able to balance a flexible work environment including onsite office, pharmacy sites, remote work from home, and business travel as needed (up to 75%) Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license and good driving record, as well as active motor vehicle insurance Must possess and maintain your own reliable motor vehicle to use for local business travel Strong communication and organizational skills Responsible, reliable, proactive, with strong professional and customer service mindset Responsible and accountable for good financial stewardship and sound decision making when using company resources High degree of initiative, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive Able to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), personal credit card receipts capture/coding/monthly expense reports Able to work for prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities Must be able to lift 30 pounds and be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions At Avita Care Solutions, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do.
