WORKING AT CQUNIVERSITY

CQUniversity is seeking two Facilities Coordinators to join our Mackay campuses – one at Ooralea and one at the City campus. These are hands-on leadership roles where you’ll coordinate daily operations, guide a small team, and help maintain safe, functional and welcoming campus environments.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing maintenance schedules, supervising contractors, managing budgets and supporting campus events and minor works. With a strong focus on communication and collaboration, you’ll set priorities, delegate tasks and lead by example to foster a positive and productive team culture.
This is a physically active role that involves grounds work, minor building maintenance and outdoor tasks in all weather conditions. You’ll need to be adaptable, proactive and capable of managing competing demands while staying focused on safety, service and results.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful contribution in a dynamic and community-focused university setting, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety management strategies and relevant legislative requirements, with a commitment to safe work practices.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver a high standard of customer service.
